Boarding Options

Self-Management (Basic)

$1600

Daily Grain

Grains considered standard daily grains include: Senior, Sweet Feed, Bran/Bran Mash, Starch Wise, Diet Balancer

Daily Turnout

Turnout is provided daily, weather permitting.

Hay and Water

Horses will receive hay four times per day and will always have access to clean, fresh water.

Night Check

Horses will always be checked on each night to ensure they have what they need and receive night check hay.

Service Minumum

$200

Any services or supplementary care items can go towards the $200 service minimum. If the minimum is not met, it will be rolled into the cost of board for the month. This allows us to continue operating the barn without raising the board rates while providing boarders the opportunity to take advantage of additional services that are now available.

Included Services

Additional services in our full care options include: up to four tack-ups/untacks per week, holding for the vet/farrier, blanketing, medication administration as needed, icing, wrapping, poulticing if needed, bathing, clean ups (mane, ears, muzzle, legs), hoof packing, lunging, and general grooming.

15-20 minutes of hand walking for your horse. Ideal for light exercise during inclement weather or days off as well as short rehab support or to relieve muscle stiffness or soreness.

At least 30 minutes of hand walking for your horse. This is ideal for horses in rehab, vet-directed recovery, and horses requiring longer controlled movement.

Specialized Horse Care

Blanket Laundering

Standard Laundry

Have Double B Stables take care of your standard laundry items. This includes saddle pads, polos, girths, bandages, and towels. Please ensure all items are clearly labeled and use Double B provided laundry baskets.

Farrier Management

$35 per month

Have Double B Stables manage your horse’s farrier schedule. This includes scheduling and holding during farrier visits.

Vet Management

$35 per month

Have Double B Stables manage your horse’s basic wellness routine. This includes scheduling routine vet visits and ensuring vaccinations and health records and up to date.

Holding for Routine Vet

Routine vet visits include scheduled wellness care such as vaccinations, Coggins, dental appointments, wellness exams, and other standard preventative maintenance.

Holding for Specialty Vet

$60 per visit

Specialty vet visits include lameness evaluations, diagnostics, ulcer workups, and follow-up treatment plans.

Holding for Emergency Vet

$50/hour

Urgent or unexpected care for situations such as colic, injuries, sudden lameness, illness, or any condition requiring immediate veterinary attention and close monitoring.

Sheath Cleaning

Routine maintenance for geldings and stallions to support comfort, hygiene, and overall health by removing buildup and checking for irritations or beans. Recommended every 6-12 months depending on your horse’s individual needs and veterinary guidance.

Blanketing

$25 per month

Have Double B take care of blanketing for your horse and never worry about checking the weather again.

Premium Grain

$50 per month

Flat fee added for horses requiring feeds outside of our standard grain offering. Most common premium feed supplements include Outlast and Alfalfa Pellets.

Night Check Grain

$25 per month

Added for horses requiring additional grain fed during night check.

Epic Farm Services

Outside Trainer Fee

$25 per session

Paid to Jill per horse for lessons & training rides with trainers coming in from outside Epic Farm.

Outside Professional Fee

Paid to Jill on a per horse basis for anyone providing services at Epic Farm (outside of approved partners) for which they are being paid.

Grooming services help maintain horses in peak condition throughout the year while our specialized horse care services ensure horses receive attentive, professional management even when owners are unavailable.

Competition Grooming

Double B Stables also provides structured show support services for clients attending competitions.

Full Show Care

Includes daily stall cleaning, feeding, and night check as well as grooming, lunging, bathing, and unbraiding. A minimum of four (4) clients are needed to secure Double B fill show care services.

Basic Show Care

Includes daily stall cleaning, feeding, and night check. A minimum of six (6) clients are needed to secure Double B basic show care services.


For both Basic Show Care and Full Show Care, all common expenses, including food and lodging for professional staff will be shared among all clients using show services.

How do I pay my board each month?

Boarders can pay using a check or Venmo. There will be a Double B Stable box located in viewing room where boarders can leave checks if that is your preferred method of payment. Checks can be made out to Double B Stables.

How much will my board bill be?

If you are on our “Self-Management” (Basic) board option, board will be $1,800, which will include the $1,600 board + $200 service minimum. Throughout the month, we will keep track of services used and anything used beyond the $200 service minimum will be itemized and invoice separately.

If you are on our Concierge (Full Care) board option, board will be $2,300 per month. If any services are used outside of that, they will be itemized and invoiced separately.

What services are NOT included in Concierge (Full Care) board?

Not included in Concierge board are the following service offerings: Full body clips, trace clips, blanket laundry, and supplements are not included. Show services are also invoiced separately.

Will the outside trainer ring fee go toward the service minimum?

All training, outside professional fees, and ring fees are paid directly to Jill under Epic Farm and are not directly associated with Double B Stable so they cannot be put toward the service minimum.

Do you charge extra if my horse gets supplements with their grain?

Owners are responsible for providing all supplements for their horses. There is no additional fee associated with owner-provided supplements.

Do you have preferred vets/farriers that you work with?

We do have veterinarians and farriers that regularly come to the farm and we are more than happy to connect you with them if you are looking for a recommendation.

Is there a trainer on-site?

While we do not have a trainer formally associated with Double B Stable, Epic Farm does have an on-site trainer, Jaime Richard, who specializes in hunter/jumper riding. She is available for lessons, professional rides, schooling rides, and horse shows if you are interested. All lessons and training would need to be scheduled directly with Jaime.
